The council needs to change its care and support charging policy to comply with the Care Act 2014. There are six proposed changes in the way they charge for care and support set against a context of increasing demand and reducing budgets. There is no proposal to charge for Carers Services, however there may be an impact on the person you care for.
A public consultation running between 11 January and 11 March 2026 aims to identify the impact of the proposals on care and support users and will help inform the decisions the Council make about changes.
