Date/Time Date(s) - 11/07/2025
12:30 pm - 5:00 pm

For children of all ages!

Adults £5 / Under 16’s £1

Please arrive anytime from 12.30 onwards and bring your own picnic which can be enjoyed at the a lovely grassed area whilst you watch as the railway volunteers prepare the trains and fire up the locos before the first train departs at 2pm. The last train will pull into the station around 5-00pm.

The site is laid out in three “loops” of track which fan out from the central base, which houses the engine sheds , turntable and building in which refreshments can be bought (manned by MBH volunteers.) There is a total track length of some 1500 metres, which means a return trip over the whole railway would cover about 1.7 miles. Much of the route winds along the side of a dingle, high above a brook and rising up a continuous steep gradient as much as 1 in 35. To gain height the line spirals over itself in one place, having passed through a curved tunnel. The longest trip takes about half an hour and visitors can take as many trips as they like during the day.

Tickets need to be purchased in advance and are available from Megan Baker House, call the centre for more info!
