Many of you will of course feel you are already members of Herefordshire Carers Support, having registered with us as a Carer at some point in the past.
After 1 April 2026 we are no longer able to register Carers but will continue to offer a formal Membership to encourage Carers (and other supporters) to take part in how Herefordshire Carers Support is run, to bring diversity of opinion, raise our profile, give us a stronger voice in the local and national community and improve how we are democratically run.
Our constitution to includes the following classes of Membership to achieve this:
All Carers in Herefordshire over the age of 16 can apply to become a Full Member of Herefordshire Carers Support which offers a way for you to become involved.
If you are not a Carer but support the objects and activities of Herefordshire Carers Support, you can become an Associate Member.
If you are a group or organisation working with or for carers, you can become an Affiliated Member.
Apply for Herefordshire Carers Support membership at any time using our online forms and our next Board of Trustees meeting will consider your application for approval. This will not be unreasonably withheld.
As a member you will have a maximum liability for any Herefordshire Carers Support debts (if any) of £10, up to a year after your membership ceases.
It is important to note that being a member does not entitle you to special treatment or access to services and support. All our services will remain available to all Carers in Herefordshire regardless.
